OpmerkingenMay just be an iridium flare but seemed different in a lot of ways to iridium flares that I have seen in the past, and couldn't see any satellites expected to be in that location at that time.

OpmerkingenIt was only visible for about 1.5-2 seconds. The first second it had a relatively consistent brightness (like a bright star), then it increased in brightness over about half a second to extremely bright (brighter than any star/planet), then dimmed to non-visible within a fraction of a second (it didn't "vanish", it definitely dimmed but much more rapidly than it became bright). No noticeable fragmentation.
